PositionSummary
The Service Bartender supports the bar and floor team by preparing drinks quickly, consistently, and accurately for servers. Unlike a guest-oriented bartender, this role focuses on speed, organization, and coordination to help ensure an exceptional guest experience throughout the venue.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for servers according to venue recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout shifts.
- Manage incoming drink tickets efficiently to ensure quick turnaround times in a high-volume setting.
- Perform opening and closing duties including restocking, cleaning, and setup/breakdown of the bar.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or restock needs to the Bar Manager.
- Adhere to all responsible alcohol service laws, venue policies, and safety guidelines.
- Support fellow bar and server team members during high-volume periods as needed.
- Assist with batch prep, bar turn-over in between shows, and replenishing bar supplies.
- Provide consistent quality control and ensure all beverages meet presentation and recipe standards.
- Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude in a fast-paced, music-driven environment.
- Previous bartending or high-volume service bar experience preferred (music venue or nightclub experience a plus).
- Strong ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure.
- Solid working knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and bar equipment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work in a loud, fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain any required local alcohol-service certifications.
