The Fox Theatre is seeking a reliable and hardworking Part-Time Dishwasher Utility to join our Food & Beverage team.

The Dishwasher Utility plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for culinary staff and food service operations. This individual will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with general cleaning duties in support of the culinary team during concessions, Marquee Club events, private functions, and public events.

This position requires an individual with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and contribute to the smooth operation of the Fox Theatre’s Food & Beverage department.

• Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen items. Hand‑wash items as necessary to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all dishwashing and kitchen areas, including floors, walls, countertops, sinks, and storage spaces. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to uphold sanitation standards.
• Properly dispose of trash and recycling throughout the shift, including emptying trash bins, breaking down cardboard boxes, and organizing waste areas.
• Ensure the dishwashing machine and other cleaning equipment are properly maintained and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist the culinary staff by organizing clean dishes and utensils, replenishing supplies, and performing other general cleaning or maintenance tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following proper food safety guidelines, and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing).
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment, particularly during high‑volume events.
• Dependability and punctuality, with the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic understanding of dish washing equipment operation and proper cleaning techniques.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues.

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment or dish washing role.
• Familiarity with the operation of commercial dish washing machines and equipment.
• Understanding and familiarity of kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.

• Must be able to traverse the building including moving between multiple floors.
• Often required to lift materials or equipment, some of which is moderately heavy or awkward.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable working in a hot and noisy kitchen environment.
