We are looking for a dynamic and strategic B2B Retail Account Manager to lead and grow our retail partnerships across major home improvement, e-commerce, and specialty lighting retailers. In this role, you will be the primary liaison between our lighting manufacturing operations and retail partners—driving category growth, optimizing product performance, and ensuring our brand leads in-store and online.
This position combines relationship management, retail analytics, merchandising expertise, and product knowledge to deliver exceptional value to both our retail partners and end customers.
Key Responsibilities Account Management & Growth- Establish and maintain strong relationships with merchants, category managers, key purchasing, marketing, and engineering personnel at key retail accounts.
- Develop and execute joint business plans (JBPs), including promotional calendars, assortment strategies, and sales targets.
- Identify new revenue opportunities through category expansion, private label programs, and retail exclusives.
- Lead line reviews, product placement discussions, and annual contract negotiations.
- Present new product launches, packaging updates, and marketing initiatives to buyers and category teams.
- Collaborate with marketing to deliver retailer-specific promotions, planograms, and digital merchandising content.
- Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics teams to ensure accurate forecasting, on-time delivery, and inventory optimization
. - Manage SKU setup, EDI compliance, and product data accuracy across retail systems.
- Partner with retail operations and visual merchandising teams to ensure in-store displays and fixtures meet brand standards.
- Track sales performance, sell-through, and margin trends using retailer POS data and syndicated data tools.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews and provide data-driven recommendations to improve category performance.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing trends, and market dynamics to stay ahead of shifts in consumer demand.
- Maintain deep knowledge of lighting technologies (LED, smart lighting, decorative, residential, outdoor, and commercial).
- Serve as a technical resource to buyers and retail associates, helping position the company as an industry leader.
- Provide feedback to product development and engineering teams based on retailer and consumer insights.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of B2B retail account management experience within lighting, electronics, home improvement, or consumer goods
. - Proven track record managing large retail accounts and driving category growth.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce or equivalent), Excel, and retail data analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of lighting product specifications, energy efficiency standards, and merchandising principles.
- Experience working with major home improvement retailers or e-commerce platforms
. - Familiarity with planogram creation, plan-o-gram compliance, and retail plan review cycles
. - Understanding of smart home ecosystems and connected lighting technologies

Base salary $75,000 – $100,000 per year
