A Solar Salesperson in Atlanta is responsible for promoting and selling solar energy solutions to residential and commercial customers. This role combines technical knowledge, customer service, and sales expertise to help clients transition to renewable energy.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and engage potential customers through door-to-door canvassing, cold calling, referrals, networking, and attending events.
- Educate clients on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental advantages, and available incentives or rebates.
- Assess customer needs, conduct site visits, and evaluate property suitability for solar installations.
- Prepare and present customized solar proposals and quotes based on site assessments and customer requirements.
- Explain solar system components, installation processes, and financing options. Negotiate contract terms, close sales, and assist customers with paperwork for installation, financing, and incentives.
Maintain relationships with clients, providing after-sales support and addressing any concerns. Achieve individual and team sales targets, participate in ongoing training, and stay current with industry trends and products. - Use CRM platforms and sales tools to manage leads and track progress.
Skills and Qualifications
- Previous sales experience (solar, home improvement, pest control, or related industries preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical aptitude and ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Ability to travel locally and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Basic proficiency with computers and CRM software.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in sales or renewable energy is a plus.
- Typical Work Environment:
Field-based, with frequent site visits to homes and businesses. Collaboration with installation teams, project managers, and customers. Fast-paced, target-driven environment with opportunities for advancement.
