Job Description

The Georgia Market Manager will play an integral role in building the Long Drink Brand in the state by focusing on achieving all volume, distribution and brand building goals for the portfolio through all channels of trade.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing annual operating plan which includes financial, volume, distribution and promotional objectives
  • Responsible for building and managing relationships through all levels of management with our distributors and motivating them to achieve their goals and objectives
  • Manage distribution and velocity objectives for the OFF premise channel
  • Ensure execution of National Accounts commitments across both OFF and ON channels
  • Help secure and manage distribution, product features and promotions in the ON premise channel
  • Onboard all new accounts to ensure brand knowledge is being shared with individual key stakeholders at the account level
  • Manage state level POS inventory ensuring that programmatic merchandising objectives are being executed on schedule
  • Introduce creative sales execution concepts, share across state lines/regions if successful and aspire to be a company leader in best practices
  • Identify and secure account level to large scale promotional activity to drive brand awareness in the state
  • Maintain key account relationships within assigned geography
  • Complete monthly phasing calendar and maintain working key account list
  • Manage assigned budgets including incentives, travel & entertainment and other departmental expenses.
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring and managing a team of sales and activation support specialists to achieve sales and promotional objectives
  • Ensure all sales practices are compliant with state & company policies/law
Job Requirements
  • Preferred 5 or more years of sales experience in the alcoholic beverage industry with knowledge and passion for both commercial and premium products in a retail environment
  • Understanding of the Georgia liquor market. Existing relationships with key retailers and ON premise buyers is a plus
  • This is a field-based role, with 85% of time spent in accounts.
  • This position covers the northern half of Georgia, focused in the greater Atlanta area, where 20% of time will be spent visiting outer markets requiring overnight stays
  • Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to work both independently and within team environment
  • Results oriented and innovative problem solver with strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work and succeed in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
  • Understanding of Google Workspace and Microsoft Suite
