The Role

This is a new opportunity to join our existing Retail Sales Team, focusing on developing our relationships with independent retailers. This role will help transform how these grocers adapt to refrigeration trends and stay competitive by offering an “as a service” model for their refrigeration needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with pioneering new sales approaches and adept at “solutions selling”.

Responsibilities
  • Establishing new relationships and furthering existing relationships with key independent retailers and their wholesalers;
  • Help “deliver the message” for how Rental + can address operational, financial and regulatory concerns for target accounts/brands. This will involve attending customer meetings, creating ROI and TCO stories that capture all relevant costs our model can help alleviate;
  • Acting as product or solutions expert for customer questions or concerns;
  • Ensuring all relevant internal systems are kept up to date;
  • Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a best-in‑class service.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must be a motivated self-starter with experience in the US Grocery Retail Industry, as well as possessing the following skills and experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years key account sales experience
  • A background in services oriented products and solutions with refrigeration or HVAC experience an added benefit
  • A history of “solution selling” that involved building ROI and TCO models and selling long term value
  • Strong customer facing skills at all levels;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent organizational and time management capability;
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of products
  • Keen interest in working within a busy and diverse environment;
  • Travel required across the US – amount can vary by candidate location – up to 40%.
