JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Responsible for buying whole cars (for Atlanta market to include Lithonia, Norcross, Conley) to be sent to assigned stores based on quality (retail value) and freight / towing costs.
- Work closely with Store Managers and Assistant Managers on local buy, auctions, peddler / public pricing, any scrap pricing, and general market knowledge.
- Serve as an adviser to stores.
- Provide updates on the car market to Store Managers by having daily and weekly conversations.
- Work closely with the Marketing Specialist to develop advertising concepts and actions related to both regional car buy as well as auto part sales.
- Work with Store Managers and Assistant Managers on relationships at auctions and with tow companies.
- Find ways to source cars with lower fees in the region.
- Cultivate new sourcing relationships with charities, tow companies, and auctions.
- Responsible for monthly projections related to car buy at all stores in the region.
- Responsible for assuring proper licenses are in place at stores and with tow companies.
- Make sure the company is complying with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations as it pertains to vehicle purchasing.
- Participate in a culture that focuses on "Safety First" & "Environmental Stewardship" and adheres to environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Perform all daily tasks with a positive attitude and a focus on the four core company values - Respect, Help, Learn & Grow.
- Abide by the Company Playbook, which includes all company policies, safety guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Commitment to delivering friendly, helpful, and professional customer service.
- Experience purchasing vehicles from auto auctions, dealers, tow yards, or other third parties.
- Strong administrative & organizational skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Excels in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
- Advanced computer skills with the ability to navigate mobile devices and Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Willing and able to stand, walk, bend, lift 50lbs, and stretch as required by a specific task.
- Willing to travel within assigned market / region, and able to travel to other markets periodically.
- Reliable means of transportation to work/valid driver's license.
