Outside Sales Representative – Electrical Industry - Controls and Automation Outside Sales Representative (OSR) – Controls Division

Location:

GA (Territory-Based)

The Outside Sales Representative (OSR) – Controls Division will be responsible for driving sales growth and managing key relationships throughout the Atlanta territory. This position is designed to provide immediate impact through account support and long-term growth through territory development. It is ideal for a motivated sales professional who thrives in a relationship-driven, performance-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers in obtaining the products and solutions they need in a professional, responsive, and efficient manner
  • Generate new business with both existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory
  • Maintain strong relationships with current customers to drive repeat business and sustained profitability
  • Support and manage a large, established account in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Obtain and coordinate quotes for non-stock and special-order items
  • Cross-reference competitive products and identify equivalent or alternative solutions
  • Promote assigned supplier lines within the established territory
  • Track projects from specification through order execution and completion
  • Respond to customer calls and emails in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction and order accuracy
  • Coordinate closely with inside sales, engineering support, and factory partners
  • Attend required sales meetings, training sessions, and factory events to remain current on product offerings
  • Assist with preparing and delivering in-house product training and lunch-and-learns for distributors and partners
  • Stay current on supplier updates, product lines, competitor offerings, and pricing
  • Maintain accurate pipeline activity, forecasts, and CRM data
  • Utilize required computer applications, CRM systems, and sales tools
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of outside sales experience in controls, automation, HVAC controls, or related electrical/mechanical systems
  • Strong understanding of the construction and controls sales cycle
  • Experience supporting or managing large, high-volume customer accounts
  • Existing relationships within the Atlanta / North Georgia market preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
