  • Proactively identify, prospect, solicit, and secure new small group, catering, and event business across multiple market segments.
  • Develop and grow existing accounts while building long-term client relationships and repeat business.
  • Sell small room blocks, event space, catering, and food & beverage opportunities, including events that do not require guestrooms.
  • Manage the sales process from initial inquiry and qualification through proposals, negotiation, contracting, and turnover.
  • Serve as a highly visible, client-facing representative of the hotel, developing relationships with corporate clients, event planners, entertainment and production contacts, local organizations, and other business partners.
  • Conduct property tours and site inspections for prospective clients, planners, and event partners.
  • Create customized proposals and agreements designed to convert business while maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Develop strategic prospecting initiatives to generate new accounts and achieve individual and property revenue goals.
  • Identify new opportunities through networking, market research, referrals, local relationships, and industry connections.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and accurate account, activity, forecasting, and production information within the hotel’s sales systems.
  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Partner closely with the Sales & Events Manager and property leadership to ensure a seamless transition from sales through event execution.
  • Collaborate with operations, revenue management, and food & beverage teams to maximize revenue and deliver an exceptional client experience.
  • Represent the hotel at networking events, industry functions, community events, and client-facing activities.
  • Participate in sales strategy meetings and contribute to property sales planning and forecasting.
  • Maintain flexibility to attend occasional evening, weekend, and client events as business needs require.
Qualifications:
  • Previous hotel sales experience, ideally within a boutique, lifestyle, independent, or full-service hotel environment.
  • Experience selling
small group rooms, catering, events, business transient, entertainment, or related hotel sales segments.
  • Proven ability to prospect for new business while developing and growing existing accounts.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills with a naturally client-focused approach.
  • Comfortable conducting site tours, entertaining clients, presenting proposals, and developing relationships with a wide range of customers and business partners.
  • Knowledge of the Atlanta hospitality, corporate, entertainment, and events market is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, and priorities.
  • Experience with hotel sales, CRM, and property-management systems.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest and client experiences.
