The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of healthcare sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with physicians and clinical staff. This position is highly relationship-focused and requires a proactive, professional, and consultative approach to business development.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with physicians, physician practices, healthcare providers, and other referral sources.
Promote the organization's outpatient diagnostic imaging services, including MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, PET/CT, and other available modalities.
Identify and develop new referral opportunities within an assigned geographic territory.
Increase imaging referrals and patient volume by educating referral sources about the organization's services, capabilities, technology, scheduling availability, and patient experience.
Conduct regular in-person visits, presentations, meetings, and follow-ups with physicians, practice managers, clinical staff, and healthcare organizations.
Develop territory-specific sales strategies and action plans to achieve referral and revenue goals.
Build relationships with key decision-makers and referral influencers.
Educate referring providers and their staff regarding appropriate imaging services, scheduling processes, turnaround times, and other operational advantages.
Monitor market activity and identify opportunities for growth, competitive positioning, and new referral relationships.
Collaborate closely with scheduling, operations, radiology, marketing, and leadership teams to ensure a positive experience for referring providers and patients.
Track sales activities, referral trends, account development, and results using the company's CRM or reporting systems.
Follow up on referral opportunities and identify ways to improve referral retention and account growth.
Attend healthcare networking events, physician meetings, community events, and other business development activities.
Represent the company professionally and maintain a high standard of integrity, confidentiality, and compliance.
Stay current on industry trends, diagnostic imaging technology, healthcare market developments, and competitive services.
Qualifications Required Bachelor 's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and healthcare sales experience.
2+ years of experience in healthcare sales, medical sales, diagnostic imaging, physician relations, or business development preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with physicians and healthcare providers.
Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to independently manage a territory and prioritize multiple accounts and opportunities.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
