Senior Partnerships and Advertising Account Executive CBT News | Remote Opportunity For 14 years, CBT News has been a leading news and media outlet serving the retail automotive industry. We’re looking for a driven, experienced salesperson to join our team, build on that foundation, and turn new opportunities into lasting advertising partnerships. Our digital news network helps advertisers reach dealership owners, executives, and decision makers through digital advertising, sponsor ships, sponsored interviews, and event packages.

About the Role Your primary focus will be bringing in new advertisers. You will manage the full sales process, from identifying prospects and securing meetings to presenting proposals, closing business, and growing and renewing your accounts.

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, follows through consistently, and knows how to turn a promising conversation into a paying client.

• Identify and pursue new advertisers within an assigned territory through research, phone calls, email outreach, networking, and referrals.
• Build relationships with company executives, marketing leaders, and advertising agencies.
• Understand each prospect’s marketing goals and recommend relevant CBT News advertising opportunities.
• Sell our full range of digital advertising, sponsor ships, sponsored interviews, and event packages.
• Create compelling proposals, handle objections, negotiate terms, and close business.
• Sell confidently at established rates and communicate the value of reaching our audience.
• Develop lasting client relationships that lead to renewals and additional business.
• Maintain accurate pipeline activity, next steps, and forecasts in our CRM.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure campaigns are clearly booked and client commitments are fulfilled.
• Meet sales goals and take ownership of revenue results.

• At least five years of media sales experience with a proven record of generating new business and closing sales. Candidates with at least five years of successful sales experience in other industries will also be considered if they demonstrate strong prospecting and closing results.
• Automotive industry knowledge or relationships are a plus.
• Confidence reaching decision makers, picking up the phone, and asking for the business.
• The ability to manage your own pipeline and keep opportunities moving without constant direction.
• A consultative approach that connects a client’s marketing needs to the right advertising opportunity.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, and follow through.
• Curiosity about digital media and emerging advertising opportunities.
• An ambitious, positive attitude and a commitment to delivering measurable results.
