Responsible for coordinating ORC related case investigations. Serve as contact and direct ORC interaction with law enforcement, retail Loss Prevention ORC Investigators and applicable departments. Partner with departments to create ORC awareness material for store management and associates. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities- Essential Job Functions:
- Initiate, conduct and resolve complex organized retail theft/fraud investigations.
- Conduct ORC prevention and awareness training for internal and external customers.
- Follow-up on store manager/loss prevention specialist shoplift incident reports by recovering video evidence from stores and compiling affidavits for criminal prosecution.
- Conduct complex investigations and prepare case reports for local, state and federal law enforcement agencies.
- Routinely testify in civil and criminal proceedings.
- Analyze business reports, investigative reports, contracted security reports and partner with District LP Managers to effectively re-deploy Loss Prevention Specialists. Conduct interviews of known suspects to collect information.
- Build and maintain on‑going partnership with law enforcement, public officials and area business community including partnership with industry ORC investigative teams.
- Assist law enforcement during the execution of search warrants, including identification, inventory and recovery of stolen merchandise.
- Communicate losses attributed to organized retail crime by preparing updates for stores regarding trends being experienced in the division.
- Conduct surveillance of known suspects in conjunction with law enforcement and retail ORC Investigator partners.

Experience:- Associate's degree
- Experience in Organized Retail Crime investigative technique
- Minimum Position Qualifications:
- 3 years of Law Enforcement or Retail Loss Prevention investigative experience.
- Previous experience conducting stationary and mobile surveillance operations.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- Thorough knowledge of state Penal Codes, Evidence Codes, Civil Codes and procedure.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct criminal investigations, interview and interrogation skills, evidence gathering and report writing for presentation to Law Enforcement.
- Track record of successfully managing volatile situations and ability to interact with all levels of the public. Proven ability to testify in criminal proceedings. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong leadership skills with proven track record as a motivated self‑starter.
- Ability to multi‑task and manage numerous ongoing in‑depth investigations simultaneously.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and the ability for independent decision making.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Proficiency in facilitating large group presentations and training.
- Working knowledge of current Close Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, portable video equipment and surveillance devices.
- Familiarity with background, asset and property searches at the local, state and national level.
- Wicklander certified.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel independently overnight throughout the Division.
