Join IHG Hotels & Resorts to work as a Security Officer maintaining safety and security of guests, employees, property and assets.

Perform hotel security duties and procedures to ensure safety and security of guests, employees and the property.

• Perform daily inspection and ensure compliance of hotel security and safety requirements.
• Patrol and inspect all public areas, monitor surveillance, identify unauthorized persons or vehicles, coordinate towing, handle unlocked doors, fire & safety hazards, and document all actions.
• Maintain security procedures and audit logs including lost and found, key control, emergency procedures and health & safety hazard procedures for employees and guests.
• Ensure all guest room doors are secure, assist guests with room access and moving or removing possessions if required.
• Escort staff and guests to vehicles if requested.
• Inspect employee purses, packages or bags and verify employee identification & time cards as they arrive/leave the property.
• Investigate loss and safety incidents involving guests, employees or hotel property, comply with regulations, record incidents, communicate with EMS, police, fire agencies and corporate departments, and prepare documented reports.
• Assist in training employees on safety and security issues; maintain equipment ready for the next shift; schedule preventative maintenance.
• Record incident reports for police, fire agencies, legal and claims departments.
• Respond courteously to guest incidents, questions, complaints or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.
• Promote teamwork & quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned, such as handling deliveries during non‑business hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent. One year of security and safety experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Fluent English. Other languages preferred.
• Physical ability to carry, lift, push, pull items up to 100 lbs; frequent standing, moving around, bending, stooping, kneeling.
• Communication skills for interacting with guests and employees.
• Certification in safety and training, licensed as a Security Officer or Law Enforcement Officer; CPR, First Aid instructor, and law‑enforcement techniques desirable.
• Working knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, OSHA requirements and fire and life‑safety codes.
• Problem‑solving, reasoning, motivation, organizational and training abilities to handle emergencies.
• Reading, writing and basic math skills for documentation, ordering supplies and following procedures.

• Availability on both the 2nd shift (3 pm–11:30 pm) and the 3rd shift (11 pm–7:30 am).

Hourly pay rate: $17. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) and additional benefits for eligible employees.
