The Asset Protection Investigator supports store safety, security, and shortage prevention through surveillance, investigations, and audits. The role helps protect customers, associates, and company assets while contributing to storewide asset protection strategies.
Responsibilities- Monitor the workplace through patrols, cameras, and other surveillance methods.
- Investigate internal and external theft, detect and detain shoplifters, and complete related documentation.
- Conduct operational audits, support shortage strategies, and maintain physical security standards.
- Prepare investigation and liability reports, communicate asset protection practices, and respond to alarms and emergencies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid security license for the applicable region and ability to maintain required licensing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with retail security and information systems.
- Knowledge of retail procedures and criminal or civil proceedings is an asset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
