** How This Role Works:*

** Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"):
** You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

** Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
** In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

** Responsibilities:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

+ Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, maintaining a professional presence while directing visitors to appropriate locations.

+ Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.

+ Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
