Field Engineer

The current job is the implementation of the new Zetron system in Company's OCC (Operations and Customer Center) and the installation of the Zetron media dock component in the RCC (Reliability Center). Zetron is the air‑to‑ground radio and phone system used by the OCC and ATL Radio.

The project is in two locations. At the RCC, contractors will be removing the current peripherals and installing the new peripherals, as well as handling cable management and hooking up the new peripherals to the Zetron media dock.

At the OCC, the work consists of deinstalling the current Zetron at 199 positions and installing the new system at 225 positions. The schedule will depend on the final cutover plan but is currently planned as 8‑hour shifts, 5 days per week, on a rotating schedule Sunday through Saturday. Start times are expected to be around 0600.

• RCC:
  Speakers, Headsets, Handsets, USB hubs, Cabling for the items above, Connection to the new media docks and jackboxes.
• OCC:
  Shelf unit to hold console, Console workstation (Windows 10 MoM), Media Dock, ACU unit, Jackboxes, Cable extenders, USB hub x2, Cable manager x2, Speakers, Handset, Headset, Monitor, Ethernet cable from port key through tray and slat wall to console workstation, Power cabling from floor through the tray and slat wall to console workstation.

The role also includes cable management, asset management, testing of each position, and trash cleanup.

Active experience with installation and maintenance of radios and telephones, including cable management and troubleshooting. Ability to work in a rotating shift schedule and to manage multiple sites simultaneously.
