Facilities Management Services – Building Maintenance - Zone 07.

Location: Atlanta Campus (Location subject to change).

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. (Shift subject to change).

• Perform advanced-level duties assisting skilled trades workers in maintenance and renovation tasks such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and other building trades work.
• Perform semi‑skilled tasks (in various trades): clean work areas, sweep, collect trash, assist in demolition activities, and move supplies and equipment.
• Perform minor operation, maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, heating equipment, and plumbing.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems assigned to HVAC and Heating.
• Transport raw materials and semi‑finished products or supplies between departments or buildings.
• Perform minor welding repairs; operate power tools.
• Perform light carpentry work, such as building bookshelves, bookcases, etc.
• Mix and pour concrete for foundations and fixtures.
• Install, repair, and service motors, pumps, and fans.
• Operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, tractors, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Technical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or a high school diploma or GED and one year experience in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area.
• A valid Georgia driver's license.

• Knowledge of tools and equipment used in HVAC and heating.
• Knowledge of basic principles and practices of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or other related trades.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform strenuous manual tasks.
• Ability to operate hand tools and equipment used in HVAC, heating, and plumbing fields, such as jacks, meters, wrenches, etc.
