GWCCA FACILITY MANAGEMENT OVERVIEW The Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) Campus Operations function is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and exceptional facility operations that support world-class events and guest experiences. Through strong operational oversight, vendor partnerships, and team leadership, Campus Operations ensures the Authority’s facilities operate at the highest standards of quality, safety practices, incident response, and preventive maintenance.

GWCCA PLUMBER POSITION SUMMARY The Authority is currently hiring a Plumber to join Georgia World Congress Center. The Plumber is responsible for performing skilled plumbing work to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the Georgia World Congress Center campus and related Authority facilities. This role ensures that all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and GWCCA policies while supporting a high-traffic public environment.

Candidates under final consideration must complete a criminal history evaluation and drug screening as a condition of employment.

GWCCA PLUMBER WORK ENVIRONMENT Fast-paced, professional work environment in a dynamic convention, sports, entertainment, and hospitality venue.

Supports event-based business which may require irregular work hours, flexible scheduling, and availability to support evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events based on operational needs.

Work performed in varying event facilities and conditions across the Authority's campus (indoors and outdoors).May be expected to perform or respond effectively to changing priorities, time-sensitive operational issues, and emergency situations while maintaining composure under pressure.

Requires frequent interaction with large crowds in public venue and event settings while maintaining professionalism, composure, and exceptional customer service.

Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and stairs to access plumbing systems in ceilings, rooftops, or elevated areas. Must be able to work in confined spaces, including crawl spaces, utility rooms, and tight mechanical areas. Requires good manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and grip strength.

Ability to see clearly (with or without corrective lenses) to read gauges, blueprints, labels, and instructions. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in environments with background noise. Capable of working in varying temperatures, including hot, cold, damp, or wet conditions. May require prolonged periods of physical exertion during repairs, emergency response, or high-volume event operations. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
