We are seeking a hands-on Development Manager who can lead a team of talented software developers in designing, building, and delivering high-quality software solutions. This is a critical leadership role that blends technical excellence, strategic vision, and people management to drive our development initiatives forward.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in modern cloud technologies, a passion for mentorship, and a track record of delivering scalable, maintainable, and high-performing software systems. You'll be expected to roll up your sleeves when necessary, while also empowering and enabling your team to do their best work.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable and robust software solutions using cutting-edge cloud technologies and services.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to align technical efforts with business goals.
- Guide technical decision-making and ensure adherence to software engineering best practices and coding standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle and ensure the delivery of high-quality software on time and within scope.
- Provide hands-on support with code reviews, architecture discussions, and critical implementations as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, continuously raising the bar for technical excellence.
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong experience building modern event based systems with .NET/C#
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes on AWS).
- Experience building cloud native systems using AWS.
- Deep understanding of Dev Ops principles, including CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, and release management.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
