Job SummaryThe Python Software Engineer develops scripts, applications, and solutions across the full suite of Audio, Video, Control and Building System spaces – focusing on solving the problems that can’t be solved traditionally. The team works at the intersection of physical spaces, AV systems, building systems, and artificial intelligence. Join us as we imagine the future of intelligent spaces and develop them!

- Write Python code to support research, AI, and data activities within the applied research team.
- Perform code review and ideation.
- Support demonstrations, lab activities and trade‑show presence.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
- Fluent knowledge of Python and implementation across Windows and Linux.
- Experience with Lang Chain, MCP, RAG A2A.
- Experience with typical Python libraries (async, json, typing, pandas, scikit‑learn, etc.).
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience in BMS (Building Management Services) or A/V (Audio/Visual) systems and programming – a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure – a plus.
- Experience with Weights & Biases – a plus.
The range for this position is $93,000 to $167,400. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant’s experience and geographic location. Acuity offers generous benefits including health care, dental coverage, vision plans, 401K benefits, and commissions/incentive compensation depending on role.
