THE POSITIONWe are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead one of our Sports book engineering teams. In this role, you will drive technical excellence across the full software development lifecycle while coaching and developing high‑performing engineering talent. - Drive Technical Vision – Lead and inspire engineering teams while defining the technical strategy and architecture for mission‑critical customer‑facing systems that serve millions of users.
- Shape Product Strategy – Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to architect scalable solutions that enhance user experience for our 10M+ active customers.
- Develop Engineering Excellence – Mentor and grow a diverse team of engineering professionals through personalized coaching, career development planning, and technical guidance.
- Ensure Delivery Excellence – Drive high‑quality software delivery by balancing technical debt, feature velocity, and system reliability while maintaining 99.9% uptime for high‑scale systems.
- Foster Cross‑Functional Collaboration – Partner with engineering leadership, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives and resolve technical challenges across multiple teams.
What we're looking for in our next teammate:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in people management.
- Hands‑on experience with full‑stack development (JavaScript, Kotlin/Swift, or Node.js).
- Proven track record managing teams through complete SDLC.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and software delivery best practices.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and modern architectures.
- Experience managing a high visibility team and prioritizing against product and support requirements.
- Experience in high‑scale, consumer‑facing applications.
- Background in gaming, sports betting, or fintech industries.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
