Senior Application Engineer II

ABOUT THIS POSITION

We are looking for an outstanding, brilliant, and driven Senior Application Engineer to join our growing Advanced R & D team. In this mission critical role, the Senior Application Engineer will design, build, and implement amazing web applications and back-end services for our internal customers. They will also have the opportunity to work with cloud-based components and generative AI services on the Google platform.

• Designs/develops/tests/implements improvements or new features in our core code deployment tools and supporting applications, basedonthefunctional and technical specifications
• Designs/develops/tests/implements new features using the Google Cloud Platform
• Designs/develops/tests/implements new services that interact with various generative AI models hosted on Google Cloud and on-premises
• Responsible for adhering to coding standards andtheapproved technologies
• Unit tests all changes on development,and then workswith the appropriate
  
  Business and/or Technology
  
  Owner(s) to ensurethatthe developed solution meetsthebusiness requirements
• Communicates development progress daily to the senior-level team members
• Attendsto any work items assigned through the internal case system in a timely fashion
• Takes ownership of work items assigned,communicates estimates and daily progress as part ofthe
  
  SDLC process, and actively works to resolve issues blocking progress
• Assistsin the QA process
• Participates,as required,in Production deployment, providing instructions and support for deployingthecodechanges successfully, andfor Smoke Testing code post-release
• Develop sand maintains open and fluid communication with Management
• Develop sand maintainsa positive relationship with other team members
• Additional duties as assigned
• 2-5 years experience

• Basic understanding of programming concepts
• Can code in one or more general purpose programming languages;
  
  C#  programming languagesarepreferred
• Experience with Python and SQL
• Experience with MVC / Containers / GCP preferred
• Experience with infrastructure components such as servers, networking, load balancers, and MQ preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment & welcome change
• Highly self-motivated
• Ability to work both in team and solo environments
• Bachelor’sdegree in related field or equivalent work experience
