We’re looking for a developer with strong, practical experience in ASP.NET who can build modern, scalable web applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across both legacy ASP.NET MVC/.NET Framework environments and modern ASP.NET Core, and is comfortable working inside a CMS-driven architecture. You excel at translating requirements into thoughtful technical solutions, communicate clearly with cross-functional partners, and bring a consistent focus on quality, maintainability, and continuous improvement.

Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Software Development & Architecture
  • Partner with the Development team, CTO, and Project Managers to conceptualize and implement sophisticated software solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Serve as Ammunition’s subject-matter expert for the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, providing technical authority on architecture, tooling, and implementation.
  • Design scalable, secure, and efficient client-side and server-side architectures using ASP.NET Core, C#, and modern development frameworks.
  • Architect, build, and maintain robust relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL) and data models that support both client and internal initiatives.
  • Engineer efficient, well-documented RESTful APIs and services for integrations with enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
  • Evaluate and recommend .NET CMS platforms (e.g., Umbraco, Sitefinity, Kentico) and contribute to establishing reusable components and patterns for future projects.
Maintain and Enhance Existing Systems
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing Umbraco sites running on legacy .NET Framework/IIS.
  • Extend Razor templates, uSkinned components, and CMS-driven front-end experiences.
  • Implement performance, SEO, and accessibility improvements within the current architecture.
  • Execute testing across unit, integration, regression, and performance layers.
  • Diagnose and optimize .NET applications for speed, security, and maintainability.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops workflows, cloud deployments, monitoring, and logging.
  • Collaborate with designers, strategists, and project managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Write documentation and support knowledge-sharing within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • You have 5+ years as a .NET or Full Stack Developer in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are proficient with both legacy ASP.NET MVC /.NET Framework and modern ASP.NET Core.
  • You have professional experience building and maintaining Umbraco sites (v8 or v9+).
  • You’re experienced with SQL Server, Azure SQL, and ORMs such as Entity Framework or Dapper.
  • You are able to integrate APIs with systems such as Dynamics, Salesforce, or Hub Spot.
  • You have experience with IIS deployments and Windows-based hosting environments.
  • You have working knowledge of accessibility standards, responsive design, and SEO principles.
  • You have experience with cloud hosting (Azure preferred), CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring.
  • You have strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • You are proactive, organized, and committed to continuous improvement.
