COBOL Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experiencedCOBOL Developerwith at least 6 years of hands-on development experience in aLinux/Unix environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in COBOL programming, relational databases (preferably Oracle), and have exposure to modern integration methods such asSOAP or REST APIs using XML/JSON.

Experience with C programmingand familiarity withcloud platforms like AWSis a strong plus.

Candidates needs to have:

• 6+ years of COBOL development experiencein Unix/Linux environments
• Strong experience withrelational databases, preferablyOracle
• Proficiency inUnix/Linuxcommand-line tools and shell scripting
• Familiarity withSOAP/REST APIsand data interchange usingXML/JSON
• Exposure toC programming
• AWSor any cloud platform experience (preferred but not mandatory)

Good to have:

• Experience with design systems and component-based design
• Experience in enterprise or complex software product design
• Design portfolio showcasing relevant UX/UI projects is required

Job Description:

• Analyze, design, develop, test, and implement software solutions following established SDLC methodologies.
• Construct, test, and deploy portions of complex COBOL-based systems.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and legacy system conversions.
• Use development tools to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve business and technical issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Validate scope, create development plans, and deliver on assigned technical projects.
• Apply specialized knowledge in cross-functional areas, legacy modernization, and integration tasks
