JOB DESCRIPTION Yard Driver- CDL

Summary/Objective

Drive gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to transport and deliver products, or materials in loose, or packaged form. Use yard tractor to shuttle trailers and/or containers around the yard, and in and out of dock doors at Shipping/Receiving by performing the following duties.

• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as required.
• Comply with Sunny Delight Beverage’s policies and procedures.
• Perform safety checks on all equipment.
• Complete daily yard inventory of trailers and ensure the yard is kept organized.
• Set up shipping with empty trailers for load out, remove loaded trailers, and stage them in the yard drop area.
• Load and unload shuttles whenever needed.
• Set up receiving dock with inbound dropped trailers and move trailers as needed to the yard drop area.
• Keep the trailer yard clean and clear of debris that would cause any safety concerns. Coordinate and advise on truck or trailer repairs.
• Safely maneuver a tractor and trailer combination vehicle in a compact yard area.
• Shuttle product to Saddle Creek as well as pick up and deliver bottles from CCC and CKS.
• Perform safety checks on all equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years Shipping/receiving experience required.
• 2-3 years forklift experience.
• CDL Class A license required.
• 3+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Good backing skills.
• Good customer service & teamwork skills.
• Good physical condition; must be able to get in and out of trucks several times per day.
• Able to work in all types of environments, including inclement weather.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• No DUI/DWI, careless/reckless driving citations or revoked/suspended license in the past 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years.
• Current DOT medical card.
