• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
• Minimum ten years professional experience in rail vehicle maintenance, with at least five years management experience.
• Transit experience desired.
• Must demonstrate ability to develop & execute budgets, training programs, human resources functions, new equipment fielding, capital program design and execution.
• Knowledge of labor relations required.
• In lieu of a degree, directly related management experience may substitute on a year‑for‑year basis.

Responsible for directing operation and maintenance of MARTA’s Office of Rail Maintenance, providing overall management of rapid rail transit vehicles. Directs efforts of subordinate staff to meet or exceed Office’s goals regarding safety, quality, and efficiency. Oversees operating and capital budgets for the Office of Rail Maintenance. Responsible for compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local regulations affecting service and facilities.

This position has been identified as having responsibility for transit safety oversight at MARTA and is required to comply with the training requirements identified in the Authority’s Agency Safety Plan. Training requirements must be completed within 3 years of employment.
