About the Role
Kumho Tire USA is seeking a Senior Manager, Logistics Planning to lead logistics strategy and cost management for OE and RE products across the U.S. This role owns bidding, budgeting, and cost analysis, and serves as a key partner to logistics operations and headquarters.
Key Responsibilities- Lead end-to-end logistics bidding for OE and RE products' logistics function.
- Own overall logistics cost management (transportation, warehousing, handling, etc.), including regular analysis, variance review, and cost-optimization initiatives.
- Develop, manage, and monitor annual logistics budgets and forecasts; provide monthly/quarterly reports and insights to senior management and HQ.
- Analyze logistics performance KPIs and drive continuous improvement projects to enhance cost, service, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee logistics-related administrative tasks, contracts, and documentation in collaboration with finance/accounting, legal, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner closely with logistics operations teams to ensure alignment between planning, cost initiatives, and day-to-day execution.
- Act as primary point of contact with Korea-based headquarters for logistics cost topics, reporting, and strategic discussions.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to logistics planning staff; support workload prioritization, performance management, and capability building.
- 15+ years of experience in logistics planning, transportation management, or supply chain planning, including substantial U.S. logistics planning experience.
- Proven track record in logistics bidding, carrier/3PL negotiation, and contract management for OE/RE or similar product portfolios.
- Strong background in logistics budget planning, cost analysis, and financial reporting, including collaboration with finance/accounting/HQ.
- People-management experience in logistics or supply chain (team leadership, performance management, coaching).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; able to prepare clear reports and present to senior leadership.
- Bilingual-level Korean communication ability to effectively collaborate with headquarters.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; experience with ERP(SAP)/TMS/WMS systems preferred.
- Legally authorized to live and work in the U.S.
- Based in the greater Atlanta, GA area or willing to relocate; able to work on-site/Hybrid as required.
- Strategic, data-driven logistics leader with strong ownership of cost and budget.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across operations, finance, and HQ.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and drive measurable improvements in cost and service.
