The part-time Flight Ops Support - Pilot role provides subject matter expert support to key projects and initiatives within Delta Air Lines Flight Training & Standards. This position is designed for qualified pilots who bring operational experience and insight to support Flight Training on an “as needed” basis. The role requires a strong understanding of FAA Part 121 air carrier operations and expert-level knowledge in specific areas of flight operations and training.
This position reports to the DPS Manager of Delta Flight Training Operations.
- Provide curriculum, compliance, and training support to Flight Training initiatives.
- Collaborate with Flight Training support teams to complete assigned project tasks.
- Offer subject matter expertise and operational insight to training development and procedural reviews.
- Modify or develop new training materials based on operational needs.
- Monitor project progress and report status updates to Flight Training leadership.
- Review and provide feedback on standard operating procedures and training documentation.
- Perform specific duties as assigned by Flight Training management.
- Must be a current or former FAA Part 121 pilot with operational experience.
- Strong understanding of Flight Operations infrastructure and training systems.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Office 365 and Delta/DPS software platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
