The OpportunityFlock Safety is seeking a motivated and organized Warehouse and Receiving Technician to join the Logistics and Distribution team. In our warehouse in Atlanta GA, you will work with a team of dedicated employees in working toward Flock's overall mission. As a Warehouse Receiving Associate, you will play a critical role in helping the team maintain an organized space for all inbound and outbound shipments.
This position supports all areas of the Warehouse, including but not limited to: merchandise handling, receiving, shipping, packaging, and the handling of cardboard and waste for team efficiency. You will help set the scene and contribute to maintaining a strong operational tempo with a motivated team on a daily basis.
- Receive, unload, and package materials for inventory and storage in accordance with established guidelines.
- Assist with the serialization of inbound assets to enable proper tracking and control of inventory.
- Oversee the receipt of returned assets from the field, visually inspect, and scan them into inventory within 48 hours of delivery.
- Generate and apply labels in accordance with the designated procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of received goods and update the relevant systems with the corresponding quantities.
- Maintain departmental records, including UPS shipments, package inventories, and packing slips.
- Able to retrieve assets from other facilities as needed. Storage Units, Atlanta HQ, local vendors, etc.
- Be available to accept returns from Field Technicians.
- Stack and arrange products into crates, boxes, and cartons.
- Reprinting/printing extra labels when required for reboxing unboxed assets from internal/external recovery
- Provide internal customer support to other departments, assisting with their shipping, inventory, and logistics needs.
- Assist with periodic Audits of stock and inventory.
- Report to management and be accountable for unsuitable products that do not meet Flock's quality standards.
- Organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready dock/receiving area.
- Receive and visually inspect packages for damage and sign for deliveries from vendors, UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, and all shipping providers.
- Be prepared to contribute to other warehouse tasks, such as assembly and packaging of inventory, accounting for assets on Salesforce, and other tasks as directed by management.
- Attention to detail and an ability to follow processes effectively.
- An ability to respond to multiple fast-paced requests and quantity requirements/counts.
The Skillset
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or retail environment.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Forklift license preferred, or ability to attain one; proficient and safe in its operation.
- A basic knowledge of Word, Google Sheets, and Salesforce is preferred.
- Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs.
- Physically capable of performing receiving and material handling activities
- Ability to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to meet or exceed attendance requirements, providing reliable and predictable attendance.
- Ability to work safely, minding personal and team safety in daily operations
