PURPOSE:
Responsible for invoicing and batching to support Shipping and Receiving. Performs data entry, evaluate accuracy of invoices (such as purchase order discrepancies), batch invoices and orders, completes warehouse paperwork, checks in drivers, and coordinates departure schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Coordinates check-in of inbound drivers and processes paperwork.
Handles purchase order discrepancies and closes out purchase orders for receiving.
Prints and collates order labels and invoices for shipping and receiving.
Distributes daily selection orders and advanced shipping notices to Selectors and Receivers.
Performs repack quality audits for shipping.
Tracks and files orders in the computer system.
Performs miscellaneous clerical duties such as running computer reports, filing, maintaining computer spreadsheets, copying and routes incoming calls to appropriate area.
Maintains a clean, shared workspace.
Performs all relevant duties as required.
Experience:
Warehouse/Operations/Transportation experience preferred but not required.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Ability to prioritize and work independently with good organizational and time management skills
Strong knowledge of applicable computer system functions and RF systems
Understands procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes
Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook and 10-key
Excellent communication/decision-making skills
Ability to interact with all departments and all levels of management
Equipment knowledge is a plus—use of a pallet jack is recommended
Understanding of Safety guidelines
Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS:
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to sit; use hands to type, file, grasp and fine manipulation; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear
Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday
Minimal stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties
Occasional exposure to temperatures ranging from 35 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
