- Provide advice and guidance to identify tax recovery opportunities through research of tax issues, analysis of data, reconciliations, and completion of complicated calculations
- Deliver review and audit services for clients, preparing relevant documents, reports and/or client presentations
- Gain an understanding of clients methodology and business activities
- Create a positive team member and client experience
- Respond to client inquiries, coordinate document requests and site visit scheduling
- Travel to perform site visits with client and/or client representative
- Work effectively with clients on a national basis
- Attend client meetings and property inspections
- Understand construction project life cycle
- Review client construction or acquisition documents and property tax records
- Perform engineering take-offs from construction plans including civil, architectural, structural, and MEP
- Apply software knowledge to efficiently work with client data
- Prepare and review cost segregation study reports
- Assist with Estimates of Benefits as needed
- Research tax issues
- Interact frequently with members of a team and communicate effectively through written and verbal channels
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or other degree
- Must have 2.8 GPA or higher
- Relevant work experience preferred (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs) or Bachelor's degree and one to three years related to the construction industry, construction design or cost segregation related experience
- Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment
- Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to learn and apply practical application to solve problems
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel
- Intermediate knowledge of Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research is beneficial
- Experience with estimating software and construction costs software is preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
