Job Title:
Maintenance Engineer I
Reports to:
Facilities Supervisor
Supervises: N/A
- Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, TPM, or manufacturing equipment maintenance (ideally in medical devices, advanced manufacturing, or regulated industries).
- Experience diagnosing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures.
- Ability to interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
- Experience using tools such as RCA, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, FMEA.
- Experience with CMMS software (Infor, SAP PM, eMaint, MP, or similar).
- Knowledge of industrial control systems (basic PLC, sensors, drives).
- Strong Excel and digital skills (intermediate–advanced).
- Intermediate English (B2) preferred for technical documentation.
- Additional Technical Knowledge:
- IIoT: configuration of smart sensors for Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM).
- Data Visualization: ability to develop data reports using Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot), Power BI, or Tableau.
- ISO 55000: basic understanding of asset management principles.
- Criticality Analysis: application of risk/impact matrices for asset prioritization.
- RCM: evaluation of value-added maintenance tasks.
- Statistical Analysis: use of statistical tools for optimization of spare parts inventory.
- Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities under the TPM philosophy to ensure equipment availability and reliability.
- Monitor recurring failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, update, and optimize maintenance plans for production equipment and utilities.
- Document maintenance activities in the CMMS system following internal standards.
- Coordinate maintenance plans, downtime, and improvement projects with Production, Engineering, and Quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and Lean Manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and applicable regulations.
- Lead or support installation, commissioning, validation, and improvement projects for equipment.
- Collaborate with external suppliers for technical services, procurement, and warranty follow-up.
- Manage inventory levels of critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance consumables.
- Generate technical reports on equipment failures, downtime, MTTR, MTBF, and other maintenance KPIs.
- Support engineering- and maintenance-related tasks as assigned.
- Implement and monitor TPM indicators such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
