Location:

Alajuela, Costa Rica – Onsite.

Reports to:

Planning Supervisor.

Supervises: N/A.

The Planner I is responsible for supporting production planning activities to ensure products and components are supplied on time and in alignment with customer demand. This role collaborates closely with Buyers, Production, Sales, and other cross‑functional teams to maintain accurate inventory levels, properly updated ERP data, and effective execution of planning processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in production, planning, logistics, inventory control, budgeting, or distribution (preferred).

• Plan production levels across multiple product lines based on customer demand.
• Work jointly with the Buyer to ensure timely delivery of finished goods and components to the manufacturing site.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing plans with the Buyer while staying within budget.
• Use MRP and Excel Query to acquire materials and maintain production inventory aligned with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
• Maintain updated ERP system data, including new suppliers (AVL), new products, product revisions, and updated cost information for local and international suppliers.
• Coordinate with the Sales Department to maintain inventory levels aligned with production requirements and inventory targets.
• Work with the Buyer to set up new BOMs, part numbers, and purchase orders needed for new product introductions.
• Analyze customer demand to determine monthly production targets.
• Process RMAs as needed.
• Review performance indicators on a regular basis.
• Support supplier evaluation processes.
