Job DescriptionAre you mechanically inclined and ready to start a hands‑on career in the industrial trades? 3D Industrial Services is looking for motivated, dependable individuals to train as Apprentice Millwrights
. No previous experience is required—just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
This is a field‑based position that involves travel across the U.S., working alongside experienced millwrights and alignment technicians to install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery.
What You'll learn- How to install and align industrial machinery such as pumps, motors, conveyors, and gearboxes
- How to use precision tools and instruments (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, laser alignment systems)
- Basics of mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair
- Safety practices, rigging techniques, and proper tool usage
- Blueprint and mechanical drawing interpretation
- Fabrication and welding fundamentals (if applicable)
- Assist journeyman millwrights and alignment technicians on job sites
- Perform general labor, equipment setup, and cleanup
- Learn and follow safety protocols and site rules
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean, working condition
- Commit to on-the-job learning and ask questions to develop your skills
- Travel as needed for project work across various industries and locations
- High school diploma or GED required
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in working with tools and machinery
- Willingness to travel for extended periods (per diem and lodging provided)
- Ability to work at heights, in tight spaces, and in industrial environments
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 (preferred but not required – we can provide training)
- On‑the-Job Training: From experienced tradespeople
- Opportunities For advancement: to Journeyman Millwright, Alignment Technician, or Lead roles
