Description
SEMCON provides a highly qualified and responsive professional, technical and managerial workforce to satisfy customer requirements that support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s mission, vision, and goals. SEMCON is seeking a mid-level Software Engineer / Developer to support the Second Level Software Engineering team in support of NCR capabilities. This position is located on site at the William J. Hughes Technical Center and supports FAA systems through software development, testing, and system documentation activities.

SQL, Maven, Linux/Red Hat, Git and Git Lab, and container technologies.
- Supporting engineering and technical reviews
- Developing software modifications to NCR baseline CCDs, PTRs, and HDRs, including associated test documentation
- Preparing and releasing maintenance guidelines, maintenance updates, and technical documentation for field sites
- Preparing and distributing System Support Modifications (SSMs), System Technical Releases (STRs), System Documentation Releases (SDRs), Maintenance Alerts, Notices, System Support Directives (SSDs), and related field documentation
- Supporting test plan development and execution
- Creating unit tests, integration tests, test cases, test results, and expected results
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant software engineering or development experience
- Experience working in structured, regulated, or FAA/NAS environments preferred
- Strong technical writing and documentation skills
This is an in‑person position, requiring work on site five days per week at the William J. Hughes Technical Center. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. SEMCON is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.
