Dealer Trainee-Table Games; Swing Shift- Part Time

About the Role

The Dealer Trainee will be instructed in two core games over the course of a 6 weeks period. Upon successful completion, the trainee will be eligible for a Part Time Table Games Dealer (Swing Shift) position with Ocean Casino Resort.

• Properly place, remove, shuffle, and cut playing cards for table games.
• Operate all Table Games Department equipment.
• Know rules and bet payouts for all table games.
• Know all procedures, rules and guidelines pertaining to Table Games Department.
• Learn protection and control of the game
• Learn how to exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner

• Must be able to stand at workstation for prolonged periods of time, entire shift
• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise & stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and nights as business needs require.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
• Must qualify for, obtain and maintain a New Jersey gaming license
• Must pass an audition upon the conclusion of the training period.
• Possess strong guest service skills.
• Must possess high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must successfully pass an audition, demonstrating level of proficiency.
• Must be quick, analytical, and observant with good math skills.
• Must possess exceptional customer service skills.
