- Location: Atlantic City, NJ 08401 (New Jersey travel respiratory jobs)
- Setting: Hospital – acute care, critical care, step-down / ventilator management
- Start Date: March 23, 2026
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
- Shift: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,610 – $1,730 (competitive weekly pay for travel RRT)
- Employment Type: Travel, W2
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential or equivalent state respiratory licensure as required (travel RRT)
- No minimum years of experience required; experience with ventilators and ICU patients is preferred
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Proficiency with invasive and non-invasive ventilators, ventilator management, oxygen and aerosol delivery, and airway clearance techniques
- Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis, pulmonary function testing, and basic cardiac monitoring
- Strong clinical assessment, patient education, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to complete standard hospital onboarding, credentialing, and compliance requirements prior to start
- Provide intensive respiratory care, ventilator management, and safe patient transport within scope of practice
- Assess patients and develop individualized respiratory treatment plans; adjust therapies based on clinical response
- Administer physician-ordered respiratory therapies: oxygen therapy, humidification, aerosol/nebulized medications, non-invasive and invasive ventilation
- Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) and related respiratory equipment
- Perform chest physiotherapy, airway clearance, and suctioning (oropharyngeal, nasal, tracheal) per protocol
- Monitor respiratory status using pulse oximetry and capnography and respond to changes promptly
- Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist with respiratory-related procedures (bronchoscopy support, tracheostomy care, chest tube management)
- Perform arterial punctures and arterial blood gas collection/analysis; document and report results promptly
- Perform 12-lead EKGs and basic arrhythmia recognition as needed
- Participate in shift-to-shift handoffs, maintain accurate respiratory therapy documentation and charging, and support preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Perform other duties as assigned within scope and facility policy
