** THE JOB:
** As a Banquet Houseman/Porter, you will play a vital role in curating exceptional experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities include setting up, striking, maintaining, and cleaning our meeting and event spaces. With your warm smile and attentive service, you'll ensure that every guest feels valued and understood, transforming their unique stories into unforgettable moments that resonate long after their time with us.
** THE DAY-TO-DAY:
*** Stock and organize any necessary carts with designated materials and equipment, transporting to assigned function area.
* Inspect set rooms for cleanliness and agreement to group requirements.  Refresh meeting rooms when needed or requested according to department standards.
* Maintain complete knowledge of all departmental standards, daily scheduled group functions, times, locations, amount of people, location of all Hotel function space and names of rooms, all styles of meeting and Banquet room settings and all safety and security guidelines.
* Set up and break down rooms and any banquet function areas with designated tables, chairs, staging, dance floor, podiums, stanchions, easels and other equipment as specified by group requirements and in accordance with departmental standards.
* Set up table linens, skirting and tabletop items (water pitchers, amenities, glasses, etc.) as specified by group and in accordance with departmental standards.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of closets, storerooms and any storage areas; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; maintain floor cleanliness
** THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
*** Required to work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
* Preferred 1+ years in the hospitality industry or similar environment

** The rate for this role is:$22.50

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
