The IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting and repairing computer systems, hardware and peripherals.
Responsibilities- Use remote diagnostic and maintenance tools to resolve issues when appropriate.
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware and peripherals.
- Maintain records of support activities as required by departmental policy.
- Assist in deploying, installing, and operating automated data processing and telecommunications systems during training, exercises and management operations.
- Provide technical support to assist with computer problems.
- Perform tech-level functions, installation of software, virus patches, upgrades and other daily maintenance procedures.
- Provide basic hands-on system tech support, system maintenance and training, exercises and operations support of all servers. These include Windows servers, SQL databases, Internet web servers and associated applications.
- Assist in the performance of basic day-to-day system administration tasks.
- Provide general troubleshooting on network systems.
- Maintain data files and monitor system configuration to ensure data integrity.
- Perform all duties in accordance with prescribed casino internal control policies and practices.
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
- Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- High School education required.
- One-year related experience or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in installing, troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading MS Windows operating systems; experience in multiple PC hardware platforms and supporting MS Office products preferred.
