Position Summary
Join to apply for the Registered Nurse - Critical Care Float role at Atlanti Care
. The RN is a member of the interdisciplinary team collaborating with physicians to deliver culturally competent, continuous care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. The RN oversees coordination of interdisciplinary care plans, ensuring consistency with the medical treatment plan.
- Assessment – gather and organize subjective and objective data relevant to the patient, family, and significant other (physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural).
- Planning – identify problems and set outcomes, documenting a plan of care for the patient and interdisciplinary team.
- Intervention – implement specific interventions or orders in line with the plan of care and medical treatment plan.
- Evaluation – determine the effectiveness of interventions, document outcomes, and revise plans as needed. Prioritise problems across biophysical, psychological, environmental, self‑care, educational, and social domains.
- Education – provide patient education tailored to identified problems and goals, fostering empowerment.
- Laboratory Services – may perform limited laboratory services (specimen collection, processing, QC, instrument maintenance, and reporting of test results). Maintain competency and certification.
- Performance Improvement – support initiatives and provide leadership, participating in educational activities for continued professional growth.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
- Current RN licensure in New Jersey or a current multi‑state license.
- BLS required. Valid NJ Driver’s License required for Adult and Child Partial Programs.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at hire (to be achieved within 30‑60 days).
- Specialty experience and certifications: ACLS required within 6 months of assignment and maintained; additional certifications (ATCN, TNCC, PALS, ENPC, etc.) per specialty and time‑frames provided in the detailed list.
- Medical/Surgical: 2‑4 years, with 2 years emergency room experience; ACLS required in 6 months, ongoing education (8 hrs/year).
- Critical Care (ICU): 2‑4 years, 1‑2 years critical care experience; ACLS required within 1 year; CCRN preferred.
- Labor & Delivery, Neonatal ICU, OB, Operative Room, and specialty tracks – specific years of experience, required certifications (NRP, NALS, ACLS, PP-PI, etc.) as outlined.
- Dialysis, Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Radiology, Cath Lab, Trauma ICU, Oncology, Endoscopy, Cardiac Diagnostic, and other specialty areas – each with detailed experience and certification requirements summarized above.
Demonstrate competency in department‑specific skills as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
Work Environment- Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens, infectious disease, hazardous substances, and radiation.
- Physical demands: standing, walking, stirring, stooping, kneeling, crouching, lifting 25‑100 pounds with/without assistance, pushing/pulling heavy equipment.
