Administrative Nursing Supervisor

Position Summary

The Administrative Nursing Supervisor coordinates and supervises the activities of hospital personnel during evening, night, weekend and/or holiday hours. The position supports high quality patient care and safety through evaluating performance of nursing and ancillary services, facilitating staffing, continuously conducting campus‑wide rounds and responding to all in‑house emergencies/serious events. This leader maintains frequent communication with all departments to smooth throughput, reducing barriers, and supports compliance with hospital policies and procedures, customer experience needs, incident management, and serves as a liaison for smooth transitions across access points.

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current license required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred.

License/Certification: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey. American Heart Association BLS and ACLS are required upon hire or transfer.

Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience required, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibilities.

Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents will receive training and are expected to demonstrate competency within 30-60 days of hire.

Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

Potential for exposure to hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including infectious disease, hazardous substances, blood‑borne pathogens, and potential injury.

This position reports to the Director of Nursing Resources.
