Advanced Practice Provider - Neurocritical Care ICU
Position SummaryAt the direction of Leadership, the Advanced Practice Nurse promotes and maintains health by providing medical services. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or grandfathered by NJ law
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner licensure in the State of New Jersey
- CDS, DEA, and Buprenorphine Waiver required
- At least 1 year of experience in addiction care
- Ability to influence individuals, engage in effective communication, and work cross‑culturally
- Knowledge of health‑related issues (addiction, mental health, detoxification, chronic diseases, communicable/infectious diseases, primary care)
- Knowledge of medication administration and potential interactions
- Commitment to continuing education, professional networks, and society participation
- Maintenance of state APN licensure, CDS, DEA, Buprenorphine Waiver, CEUs/CMEs credits, and personal liability insurance
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
Work EnvironmentPotential exposure to blood‑borne pathogens and infectious diseases. Requires repetitive motion, hearing, pushing, reaching, reading, seeing, speaking, standing, and walking most of the time. Use of computer terminal, fax machine, copier, telephone. Essential functions are detailed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
Reporting RelationshipReports to department leadership and may supervise incumbents as assigned.
