Title:
Advanced Practice Nurse
At the direction of Leadership, the Advanced Practice Nurse promotes and maintains health by providing medical services. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited school or as grandfathered by NJ Law.
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the State of New Jersey.
- Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), and Buprenorphine Waiver.
- 1 year experience in addiction.
- Ability to influence individuals toward desired behaviors and results using suitable leadership styles, interpersonal skills, and influencing organizational values and systems.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Capable of expanding knowledge or skill enhancement in either a formal or informal setting.
- Ability to engage in conversation to clearly understand others messages.
- Ability to express oneself clearly when presenting ideas or concerns with respect to all cultures, ethnic or gender specific backgrounds.
- Ability to establish and maintain a positive and cooperative working relationship with all employees and clients.
- Demonstrates knowledge of health related issues regarding addiction, mental health, detoxification, chronic diseases, communicable and infectious diseases and primary care.
- Knowledge of medication administration, potential interactions.
- Capable of adapting to changing environments, policies or administrative procedures.
- Maintain and obtain continuing education units (CEUs) or continuing medical education (CMEs) credits for licensure as required by state and federal guidelines.
- Maintain personal liability insurance.
Demonstrates the technical competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
Work EnvironmentPotential for exposure to blood borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. This position requires repetitive motion, hearing, pushing, reaching, and reading, seeing, speaking, standing and walking a majority of the time. Spends time with computer terminal, fax machine, copier, and telephone. Essential functions of this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
