Transdev in Atlantic City, NJ is seeking a Technician with experience in automotive and diesel mechanics to join our team. The role will play a critical part in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our vehicle fleet. The schedule is Monday‑Friday, full‑time 40 hours a week.

Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement:
- $28.00 – $36.00 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
- 3% increase each year of employment.
- Vacation: up to 14 days after one (1) year of employment.
- Holiday: 14 days.
- Paid Sick Leave: 8 hrs monthly full‑time employees / 5 hrs monthly part‑time employees; medical, dental & vision after 30 calendar days of employment for full‑time employees; life insurance, 401(k) retirement benefits, and company holidays.
- Company‑paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement.
- Perform repairs and replacements on automotive engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assist A‑Level and B‑Level mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Other duties as required.
- Dodge, Chevy, Ford experience preferred.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s tool set.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug test and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6‑8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possibly sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lb. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
