Description:

Under the direction of the Shift Manager, the incumbent adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Adjusts, repairs, troubleshoots, and maintains heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Performs all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable logbooks.

Conducts walk-through inspections; changes belts, filters, adjusts volume dampers, checks gauges, coils, drain lines, bleeds gas lines, resets compressors, check unit sensors, relocates ductwork and troubleshoots to locate sources and cause of malfunction.

Assists with estimating parts, supplies, equipment, and labor hours needed to complete assigned repairs and monitors computer for malfunctions.

Maintains quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.

Records gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment.

Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.

Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Pay rate $36.25 an hour
