The Industrial Battery Technician reports to the Shipping & Receiving Department Head. This position will oversee the health and performance of our forklift fleet’s power systems, covering the full spectrum of battery care—from traditional lead‑acid maintenance to high‑tech lithium‑ion troubleshooting. The industrial battery technician will maintain and repair current batteries, complete testing of battery systems, diagnosing faults, ensuring safety protocols, and providing technical support.

This position will have a strong focus on preventative maintenance initiatives to prolong life of batteries.

• On-site in a warehouse / manufacturing environment.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Use of hand and power tools in a shop environment.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods is required.

• Minimum Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in automotive repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a similar trade.
• Previous experience operating a forklift.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining batteries of various types, including lead‑acid, lithium‑ion, and nickel‑cadmium.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience is an asset.
