Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlantic, IA. This is a night shift position in a rural hospital setting, primarily supporting OB services with cross-coverage to Med/Surg as needed.

Start Date:

March 16, 2026 (ASAP consideration)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Schedule:

3x12 Hour Night Shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Hours:

36 hours per week

This role requires strong Labor & Delivery experience and flexibility to float when census requires.

• Provide comprehensive OB nursing care including Labor & Delivery support
• Perform maternal and fetal assessments
• Monitor labor progression and provide newborn stabilization as needed
• Support postpartum care and patient education
• Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary team members
• Float to Med/Surg floor when OB census is low or additional coverage is needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies

• Active RN license (must be currently active)
• BLS certification
• Strong Labor & Delivery experience required
• Comfortable floating to Med/Surg
• Ability to work independently in a rural hospital environment

New graduates will not be considered.

• Weekend Requirement:
  Every third weekend
• Floating:
  Required to Med/Surg as needed
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 29-bed rural hospital setting
• Standard Sunday–Saturday work week

Primarily OB position with required float to Med/Surg. Must have strong L&D skills and be comfortable working in a rural hospital setting. Every third weekend required. Night shift. Experienced OB nurses only.
