As an Operating Room RN, you will play a crucial role in delivering care to patients undergoing operative or other invasive procedures. Your responsibilities will include addressing the psychological and socio-cultural needs of surgical patients and their support persons. From the moment a patient is informed of their need for a procedure to their return to usual roles and responsibilities, your expertise will guide them through the process.
Provide comprehensive care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient environment
Educate patients and their support persons about the surgical process and post-operative care
Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in condition
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
