Registered Nurse
Child & Adolescent Services Inpatient

Key Responsibilities include:

• Respects confidentiality of communications, records, discussions, examinations and treatment of patients and their families

• Demonstrates good working knowledge of nursing principles and techniques in order to be an effective member of the clinic team

• Handles referrals of new patients and re-referrals, assessing the urgency and arranging appropriate appointments. Collects relevant data from new patients on arrival

• Makes follow up appointments for patients and contacts them prior to appointment to remind when appropriate. Maintains appointment book and statistical records

• Manages and records medications accurately

• Orders medication for patients on regular medication

• Dispenses medications as prescribed and / or directs patient and family how to obtain medication

• Responsible for the safe custody and storage of medication in the department

• Completes forms for routine blood test including lithium levels etc.

Qualifications &/ Registration required:

• Registered Mental Nurse

• Registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council

• Certification /Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

• Three years post registration experience preferred

Schedule:
35 hours per week. All shifts as required on a rotational basis

Salary Scale: NS02 $ 88,670.83
