SummaryThe Assessment Support Engineer (Assessment Engineer) is responsible for preparing for and providing support during CMMC assessments. The Assessment Engineer works closely with the project coordinator or project manager and with the assessments team to ensure that our clients successfully complete assessments. This role is the primary liaison to the Guardian team to ensure all artifacts are prepared and all support is available as needed.
The Assessment Engineer will work closely with the Principal Architect and CIO's office to ensure automation and efficiencies are incorporated into the assessment preparation and support.
- Artifact gathering in preparation for assessments
- Technical support during assessments
- System administrator support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems that inhibit assessments
- Provide documented system configurations and build standards for client environments
- Communication with clients as required: keeping them informed of preparation and assessment progress, impending changes, and agreed upon outages
- Work hand-in-hand with the PMO and Commander teams in all phases of Assessment support
- Provide input to the Principal Architect and CIO's office of automation and efficiency improvements to improve assessment efficiency and quality
- Resolute dedication to unparalleled customer service

- Ensure requests are routed to the proper resource to be resolved quickly and efficiently
- Responsible for entering all time and expenses as they occur
- Continuous education, expansion, and refinement of technical knowledge and credibility through industry standard certifications
- Enhancing customer relations
- Interpret and discuss information with others and regularly provide advice and recommend actions involving complex issues
- Demonstrate professional attitude with client over the phone, on-site, and through emails to resolve all client requests/questions
- Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or MIS from a reputable institute, at least five (5) years of related MSP experience, or a combination of education and experience
